Note: You do NOT need to own a Ukulele, as one will be provided for use during camp! Camp Dates: June 15-18 Time: 9:00 am- 1:00 pm Location: Music Room Space Limited: 20 participants Ages: Rising First Graders Through Rising 6th Graders Skill Level: Beginners with no previous ukulele experience AND beginners with some previous ukulele playing experience. Camp Description: This educational and fun camp combines everything your child loves about music class, with the added benefit of learning to play a string instrument, too! Each 4 hour session includes a structured series of games, activities, and hands-on experiences to reinforce and enrich music skills (melody, rhythm, composition, theory, improvisation, and applied Ukulele playing skills.) In fact, if your child has ever expressed interest in playing a string instrument, Ukulele is a most developmentally appropriate place to start; it is lightweight, portable, just the right size for small hands, and offers the student the opportunity to experience positive results quickly! In addition to the many student-favored activities we will explore, students will also learn to perform the basic chord progressions (I, IV, V, I), strumming patterns, and perform familiar songs containing the most commonly used chords in pop music: C Major, G Major, F Major, and C7. This camp is unique in that it is very limited in terms of number of participants. In order to give each child an abundance of individualized time and attention, only 20 spots are available. Each child will be given a loaner Ukulele to use the week of camp, and there is no additional charge. This camp is ideal for the child that loves music, games, movement, and thrives in an environment of cooperation, friendly competition, and a process-oriented approach that is supportive, kind, and paced "just right." Refund Policy: All sales and bookings are final. No refunds or make-up sessions can be issued for missed or canceled bookings, regardless of reason. If Bumble Beats By Lisa, LLC cancels this camp for any reason, the customer will be promptly issued a full refund. This is a multi-session offering; in the rare event that a single day of camp is cancelled (due to weather, family emergency, or other rare situation), the customer will receive a refund in the amount of 1/4 the total amount paid for the camp.
