This offering is reserved for students attending Marvin Elementary School. Note: You do NOT need to own a Ukulele, as one will be provided for use during weekly sessions. Includes 8 Sessions: Tuesdays, Sept. 29; October 6, 13,20, 27; November10, 17, 24 Time: After school until 3:00 pm Location: Music Room Space Limited: 15 participants Ages: 2nd-5th graders Make-Up Date (In the rare event that one is needed): Dec. 1 Skill Level: Beginners with no previous ukulele experience AND beginners with some previous ukulele playing experience. Club Description: If your child has ever expressed interest in playing a string instrument, Ukulele is a most developmentally appropriate place to start; it is lightweight, portable, just the right size for small hands, and offers the student the opportunity to experience positive results quickly! Students will learn to perform the basic chord progressions (I, IV, V, I), strumming patterns, and perform familiar songs containing the most commonly used chords in pop music: C Major, G Major, F Major, and C7. This club is unique in that it is very limited in terms of number of participants. In order to give each child an abundance of individualized time and attention, only 15 spots are available. Each child will be given a Ukulele to use each week, and there is no additional charge for this. This club is ideal for the child that loves music and thrives in an environment of cooperation and that is built on a process-oriented approach that is paced, "just right" for young learners. Refund Policy: All sales and bookings are final. No refunds or make-up sessions can be issued for missed or canceled bookings, regardless of reason.
